So I thought I would solicit advise from the collective hive mind on a couple of things so please help me out.

a) Need to rent a car for the weekend. Who do you recommend & how cheap are they?
EDITED TO ADD: I'll be heading down to Olympia Friday-Sunday and driving around the city.

b) Thinking about getting a piercing for my birthday (an industrial) my from what I hear Lucky Devil no longer does piercing and so I have no idea where my piercer would be now (Chuck). Please recommend someone good and local i.e. a place I can get to easily on the bus.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions!!

Laughing Buddha has always been polite and professional and skilled for piercings when I've gone.

As for cars, I usually compare websites as different deals happen different places for different times and which one is cheaper varies. Some will give you daily rates and some by miles and depending on where you're going and how long you need it, it could change which is best for you quite a bit.

a) Wish I knew, sorry.

b) All my metal currently has been done by Slave to the Needle, and they've been great. The Ballard location's a bit annoying to get to by bus, but really not much worse than getting anywhere in ballard from Cap Hill by bus.

This weekend? Yikes. You might not get a good rate since you're so close to when you actually want to go.

I usually go with Enterprise that's on Boylston and Pine or with National at the Hilton downtown.

I have had all my piercings done at Apocalypse Tattoo on Olive way on Capital Hill. 90% of my tattoos were done there, too.

I really like them there, they are super clean, nice and professional!

Good luck!

I'll second the rec for Laughing Buddha. Absolutely clean and professional, with proper guidance on aftercare.

I got my belly-button redone at Laughing Buddha last November, and all was good.

And I've stuck pretty religiously to Enterprise for my car-renting needs over the years, and except for one screw-up, it's been good, and they did some serious ass-kicking to make up for that one screw-up, so I forgave them.
