A Murder of Thoughts

So I thought I would solicit advise from the collective hive mind on a couple of things so please help me out.

a) Need to rent a car for the weekend. Who do you recommend & how cheap are they?
EDITED TO ADD: I'll be heading down to Olympia Friday-Sunday and driving around the city.


b) Thinking about getting a piercing for my birthday (an industrial) my from what I hear Lucky Devil no longer does piercing and so I have no idea where my piercer would be now (Chuck). Please recommend someone good and local i.e. a place I can get to easily on the bus.

Is there anyone with a truck/van/station wagon that can help me move a table either tomorrow or sometime next week in the evening?

I know how you shouldn't read much into this sort of thing but this was weirdly accurate in odd ways. Not picking out normal things that these sorts of tests do (introvert, quiet etc) but things that are off the beaten track but commented on either fairly frequently or by people who I trust and/or are important to me.

How sad is it that I'm super excited over a simple phone interview? I feel like that neglected puppy who is desperate for any attention what so ever. Yet at the same time I'm already anticipating the crushing disappointment if it doesn't go anywhere. I'm really disgusted with what this economy & specifically the job market has done to my mental state.

This was shocking for some reason I thought he was fairly clean cut and trouble free. I wonder what this means for the Batman film?

Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger has died in NY.

He was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho
by his housekeeper at 3:35 PM ET today. Law enforcement sources
say they believe it was not a crime.

Details are currently very hazy but it is believed he died
of a drug overdose.

The 28-year-old actor has a two year old daughter with former
fiancée Michelle Williams. He was set to play the Joker in the
upcoming Batman film "The Dark Knight."

I just bought myself a new TV stand and I'm giving my old one away. It is a (slightly dusty) black particleboard TV stand and you can see the pictures posted below. I thought I'd give my friends the chance to grab it if they were interested before I throw it up on Craigslist. If you are interested you must be able to pick it up yourself (it is light and small 33"W x 20"D x 15.5" H) and people who can pick it up sooner have priority over those who cannot.

Body art!

I really want a new tattoo. I've wanted one for quite some time now. The problem is that I'm not really sure what to get. So I thought I'd solicit opinions from my faithful readers.

The two spots I'm currently debating for a tattoo is my left bicep and my back. If I get a back piece I want it to be a full back piece and I'd really like to get some sort of ravens in flight kind of thing but I haven't found anything really inspiring. Also I really want to put something comic book related on my skin but I just don't want a comic book character. I'd prefer something kind of quirky and unique that the average person wouldn't recognize but a fellow comic books geek would think is cool. I'm also not sure where I'd put the tattoo perhaps on my forearm perhaps somewhere on my leg.

While I'm on the subject I'm also thinking about getting more piercings specifically to pierce my other tragus and possibly an industrial in my right ear.

So what kind of tattoos do you think would be a good match for me?

So a week or two ago I purchased a new bed. My previous bed was a hand-me-down, at least 6-8 years old and I was waking up stiff and not feeling very rested anymore. So after a significant amount of prodding from someone that I should do something about it I did. Along with my new bed I bought a fiberbed to overlay on top of it to make it similar to the pillowtop models now being sold (this was recommended by a number of resources as the best way to go) as well as a new sheet set and a new black velvet bedskirt for my bed.

I also took the opportunity provided to completely rearrange my bedroom which I'm pretty happy with as the room feels noticeably different as well as more open. It was after this rearrangement that I decided that I actually wanted to fully decorate the bedroom to make it more purposeful and fancy. I've always had intense jealousy over other peoples homes who always seem to be much cooler looking than mine. Of course some of that is my own fault as I am a rather geeky individual and it is difficult to make large amounts of Comics, Games, & Toys look "cool" to anyone else other than another uber-geek. It also fall in line with my wanting a more unified looking "home" with real quality furniture that will last many years if not the rest of my life that I've been working slowly towards.

However I do have a small problem.... I suck at decorating. I don't know where to find the cool stuff, what the cool stuff is and what to do with it once I do have it. So I'm looking to wiser people than myself to assist. First on my list is that I want to finish off by bed by buying a really nice looking bedspread/comforter/duvet. I've looked at a few places on line but haven't found a very large selection of Victorian / Gothic style covers. In my head I picture a deep red or purple color with intricate scroll-work or similar pattern. Does anyone have any suggestions as to wear to look for really cool bedding? Also does anyone have any good decorating tips to make a more unified look to my home and that expresses more of a Gothic sensibility rather than a what was available or on sale haphazard style.
